Prophetic Word for the year 2004
“MY PRESENCE SHALL GO WITH YOU
AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST!”
(Ex 33:14)
PART FIVE
“Do not cast me away from Your Presence!” (Ps 51:11)
In Part Four of this series, Scripture spoke of three who had to go OUT from the Presence of the Lord! They were the errant first Adam, his brother-slaying son, Cain, and Satan, himself! To partake in this hapless state with this ignoble trio is to go from bad to worse, to worst! With this information in mind, let us ask the Holy Spirit to paint for us a beautiful picture in Scripture of what desirous things are to be found IN the Presence of the Lord! He begins with 1 Chr 16:23-34.
“In His Presence are GLORY and HONOR! In the place where He is
are STRENGTH and GLADNESS...even the trees of the wood shall
SING OUT at the Presence of the Lord.”
“FULNESS OF JOY is in Your Presence; ETERNAL PLEASURES
are at Your Right Hand.” (Ps 16:11)
“From the pride of man You shall HIDE THEM (that fear You, that trust
in You, not the sons of men) in the secret of Your Presence.” (Ps 31:20)
“The UPRIGHT shall dwell in thy Presence.” (Ps 140:13)
“In all the afflictions (of God’s people) He (the Lord) was afflicted, also
the ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE SAVED THEM IN HIS LOVE!
And in His pity he redeemed them; and bare them, and carried them all
the days of old.“ ( Isa 63:9)
Only fools believe they can stand smugly in the Presence of the Lord without consequence. But hear these contradictions to such arrogance, beginning with Isa 64:1-3.
“Oh Lord, if only You would rend the heavens and come down, that the
MOUNTAINS MIGHT BLOW DOWN at Your Presence! As when
the melting fire burns and causes waters to boil, now make Your Name
known to Your adversaries, that the NATIONS MAY TREMBLE at
Your presence! When You did terrible things which we looked not for,
You came down, the mountains shook as the wind at thy presence. “
“Fruitful lands became deserts; and CITIES WERE CAST DOWN
at the Presence of the Lord! “ (Jer 4:26)
“EVERY FISH OF THE SEA, FOWL OF HEAVEN, BEAST OF THE
FIELD, AND CREEPING THING OF THE EARTH, AS WELL AS
ALL MEN ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH WILL SHAKE AT
MY PRESENCE (says the Lord)! THE MOUNTAINS SHALL BE
TORN DOWN; AND EVERY STEEP PLACE AND EVERY WALL
SHALL FALL TO THE GROUND!“ (Eze 38:20)
“THE MOUNTAINS QUAKE, THE HILLS MELT, THE EARTH
AND THE WORLD, AND ALL THAT DWELL THEREIN ARE
BURNED at the Presence of the Lord!“ (Nah 1:5)
“The Lord says, Do you not fear Me? Will you not TREMBLE AT MY
PRESENCE? Even though by My perpetual decree I have set the sand
as the boundary of the sea so it cannot pass it; and though its waves toss
themselves about, they cannot prevail; and though they roar, they cannot
pass over it!“ (Jer 5:22)
Does this mean God only desires quivering masses of humanity to attend His Presence, and He only brings devastation to all that approach Him? No, but nothing of this destructible earth can survive His Consuming Fire; rather only that which is made of His indestructible spirit!
“For thus says the High and Lofty One Who indwells eternity, and Whose
Name is Holy: I inhabit the High and Holy Place along with him who has
a contrite and humble spirit, in order to revive the spirit of the humble and
to revive the heart of the contrite ones.“ (Isa 57:15)
“Therefore, repent, and be converted; so that your sins may be blotted out
when the TIMES OF REFRESHING shall come from the Presence of
the Lord!“ (Ac 3:19)
The carnal mind has convinced many that the human will is responsible for the acceptance or rejection of Christ’s Gift of Salvation; when in truth, it is the Gift of Salvation, Itself, that causes man’s will to accept, not reject it! For this cause,
“God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and
God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the mighty and
God has chosen the base, despised things of the world, and chosen those
things deemed worthless to bring to nothing the things deemed valuable so
NO FLESH CAN GLORY IN HIS PRESENCE!“ (1 Co 1:27-29)
“For you are saved by Grace, alone, through the Faith (of Jesus Christ), and
NOT OF YOURSELVES, but, it is the Gift of God, not of human works
LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST! For we are God’s Workmanship,
created IN Christ Jesus to do good works which God has foreordained that
we should walk in them!“ (Eph 2:8-10)
“To Him (Christ) Who is able to keep you (and the first Adam) from falling,
He shall PRESENT YOU FAULTLESS before the Presence of His glory
with exceeding joy; to the only Wise God, our Savior, be glory and majesty,
dominion and power, both now and forever! Amen!“ (Jude 24)
Ever since the Lord spoke this Word to me for the year 2004, He continually brings before my eyes the phrase, “His Presence”. Never have those words meant more to me than they do now. I am more aware of the exciting event about to take place in the lives of His sons. We are entering a Day of Rest when the Presence of the Lord shall never again depart from us! His thoughts will be our thoughts; His Ways will be our ways; and His Purpose will be our purpose! Fear shall no more dictate our decisions; and the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, or the pride of life shall no more dog our steps! The Truth of Christ shall have made us free from these things, once and for all! His Faith shall be our Shield and Buckler; His Hope shall make us prevail; the Light of His Love shall be our Vanguard against all forces of darkness; and we shall rejoice in His Presence forevermore!
