HINDS’ FEET IN HIGH PLACES
Part 20
“He makes my feet like hinds’ feet,
and sets me on my high places!”
(2 Sa 22:34)
What persuades a man who is made of the dust of the earth that he could ever ascend to the “high places” of Eternity? Only the greatest possible self-deception devised by the mind of flesh. While there are those who shall be raised up to inhabit the “high places” of God, they are a people of spirit, not of flesh and blood! And what exactly are these “high places”? Are they a geographic location somewhere within- or even far beyond, the universe? No, beloveds! God’s “high places” are centered in the Mind of Christ from whence come all Divine Thoughts! The “low places” are situated in the mind of man from whence come all human thoughts! Jas 3:13-18 says,
“Who among you is a wise man that is endued with knowledge?
Let him show his works with meekness and wisdom, through
good *conversation [*this is also translated “behavior”]. But
if your hearts contain bitterness, envy and strife, do not glory
or lie against the truth; for human wisdom does not descend
from above (higher places), but is earthly, and sensual, and
of the DEVIL! For wherever envying and strife are present,
there is confusion and every evil work!
But the WISDOM FROM ABOVE is first of all, pure,
and then peaceable, gentle, is easily entreated, full of mercy
and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy!
Also the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those
*who make peace!”
Mt 5:9 says, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be
called the children of God!” Who are these privileged ones?
Rom 8:19-21 makes it clear saying, “The earnest expectation
of creation (including its creatures) awaits the manifestation
of the sons of God! For all creation (including its creatures)
was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of
Him (Jesus Christ) Who subjected the same in hope!! Still,
all creation (including its creatures) will be delivered from
the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the
children of God!”
Only the heart who has recognized and acknowledged the Omnipotence of His Creator and Savior can accept this magnificent Promise of God! You see, while the human heart is still enslaved to “vanity” and the “bondage of corruption”, he cannot concede the Sovereignty of God’s Power over heaven and earth! The man of flesh may concede that God rules over His heavenly domain, but he can never agree that GOD RULES OVER THE EARTH! The reason for this is because, “Natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit” (1 Co 2:14) and as Jesus says in Jn 6:63, “The flesh profits nothing, but the WORDS I speak to you are SPIRIT AND LIFE!” Now hear these Truths.
“THE EARTH, AND ALL ITS FULLNESS, IS THE LORD’S;
ALSO THE WORLD AND ALL THAT DWELL THEREIN!
For He has founded it upon the seas; and established it on the
floods!Therefore, who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord; or
who shall stand in his holy (high) place? Only the one who has
clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to
vanity, or sworn deceitfully. He, alone, shall receive the Lord’s
blessing, and reap righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is the generation that seeks Him! Yes, these seek Your face,
O (God of) Jacob. Selah (pause and calmly think of this). And
you gates, lift up your Head (“Christ is the Head of every man!”
1 Co 11:3) Be lifted up, you everlasting *doors, and the King of
Glory shall come in! [“Jesus says, I am the Door of the sheep..
if any man enters in, he will be saved; he will go in and out, and
find good pasture.” (Jn 10:7, 9) As for those who say that some
sheep cannot be saved, Isa 53:6 says, “ALL WE, LIKE SHEEP,
HAVE GONE ASTRAY! Each of us has turned our own way-
but the Lord has laid the iniquity of us all on Him (Jesus Christ,
Savior of the world)!”] ( Ps 24:1-10)
Mt 18:12-14 adds, “How can you think (that Jesus Christ
shall not save all men)? For if a man owns 100 sheep, and even
one of them goes astray, won’t He leave the 99 and go up into
the mountains to look for the one sheep that has gone astray?
And finding it, I tell you truly, He rejoices more over that one
sheep than He does over the 99 who didn’t go astray! And so,
IT IS N-O-T THE WILL OF YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN
FOR EVEN ONE OF THESE LITTLE ONES TO PERISH!”
“O clap your hands, all you people; shout to God with the voice of triumph.
For the Lord most high is terrible; He is a great King over all the earth!
He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. He
will choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom He loved.
Selah. God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises to our King, sing praises,
for GOD IS KING OF ALL THE EARTH! Therefore sing praises with
understanding! GOD REIGNS OVER THE HEATHEN...!” (Ps 47:7-8)
Remember, O doubting one, the next time you sing the chorus,
“Our God reigns!” (Isa 52:7) JESUS CHRIST IS KING
OF A-L-L THE EARTH; AND HE REIGNS OVER THE
H-E-A-T-H-E-N [not just the saints He has thus far saved!!]
“Moreover, Be still, and know (acknowledge in your innermost being)
that I AM GOD (not you); and I will be exalted among the heathen;
as surely as I will be exalted in all the earth!” (Ps 46:10) Now that,
is Good News!
