Part Thirty-seven

THE HARVEST HAS BEGUN!!

“Death and Life are in the POWER of the tongue; and

they shall eat the fruit of the one they LOVE!”(Pr 18:21)

               What does God mean by the expression, “power of the tongue”? He means that all power, in heaven or earth, of Life or death, is manifested in WORD! Consider well these passages:

“...The worlds (of men) were framed (Gk 2675 “Completed thoroughly, prepared, fitted, repaired, mended, restored, perfectly joined together and made perfect”) by the WORD OF GOD!” (Heb 11:3)

“Men are born again, not from corruptible seed (the word of flesh with no Anointing); but of the Incorruptible Seed of the WORD OF GOD which lives and abides forever!” (1 Pet 1:23)

“Of His Own Will, GOD BEGAT US with the WORD OF TRUTH, so we could be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures!” (Jas 1:18)

“...The HEAVENS came into being long ago by the WORD OF GOD; as (the Word) formed the EARTH of water and by water!” (2 Pet 3:5)

For as Jn 1:1,3 declares,

“The WORD was GOD...and

ALL THINGS were made by Him!”

               Of course, all word originates as thought; but whether it is manifested as thought, speech or a physical presence, it has power- for good or evil! All creation was spoken into matter and mass by the Word of God! The whole universe- and everyone in it- is a word-manifestation! Every atom of every living organism is a word-product! Each mortal creature- of man or beast- is a word-being that contains its own “seed” to reproduce after its kind; and that “seed” produces its own form of communication! The outward, physical expression of a word may seem the most powerful because it is able to impose its presence on other substantive life forms; but as we all have experienced, the spoken word has an even greater power to reach into a man’s soul [typified in the Tabernacle as the Holy Place] and tear down a man’s intellectual self-worth; and wound his emotional well-being; and influence his human will into taking action that it would otherwise have never considered. But there is yet a higher, more powerful expression of word that can remain hid from other men! The secret chamber of thought [typified in the Tabernacle as the Holy of Holies] is man’s final frontier of human privacy! In this vault are the heart’s innermost secrets that others seek to invade and rob! But this is the sanctuary of spirit no outsider can enter- or so the natural man mistakenly believes!! But hear David’s thoughts in Psalm 94:7-11:

“You may say, ‘The Lord does not see (what I do); neither does the God of Jacob pay any attention’; but I say, ‘When will you seek understanding, you stupid among people? When will you become wise, you self-confident fools! Shall He Who planted every ear, not hear you? Shall He Who formed every eye, not see you? Shall He Who chastens all nations, not punish you? Shall He Who imparts knowledge to all men, not know you?! THE LORD KNOWS THE THOUGHTS OF EACH MAN! He knows they are all vanity (empty, futile, an empty breath)!”

God demonstrated His “Power of the Tongue” when He spoke the universe into existence and populated its earth with sentient beings. And later when the Son of God came to that earth, He told His disciples, “The WORDS that I speak to you are SPIRIT and LIFE!” (Jn 6:63) And soon
              Christ’s corporate Body of Sons will be sent into the world armed with Words of Spirit and Life!! These anointed ones shall turn the world upside down as “The Glory of the Lord rises upon them! Then nations will be drawn to their Light; and kings to the brightness of their rising!” (Isa 60:2) And as Peter said to Messiah, so the world will say to these, “To whom shall we go but thee, for YOU HAVE THE WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE! You are the (Body of) Christ (Anointed ones), the Sons of the Living God!” (Jn 6:68)
