Part Sixty-eight

THE HARVEST HAS BEGUN!!

              Why does Scripture stress the “power of the tongue”? First of all, it was by exercising the Power of His Tongue that God brought all Creation into being! For in Gen 1:2, “GOD S-A-I-D”! And He only had to speak the word: “L-E-T”, and the whole universe sprang to life! What power that little three-letter word held. Where there had been a dark and formless void, suddenly a Light and a series of well-defined substances appeared!
              This is a notice to all with hearing ears that when the Spirit begins with the word, “let”, we are to prayerfully consider the next words! For “let” is a precursor to a revelation taking place in our lives; and He is alerting us to yield to this new inworking of Christ! Throughout the N.T. the word, “let”, usually precedes sonship instructions which Christ will perform in us, through us, and especially, WITH US! Sonship is a mutual enterprise that makes us, “First children, then heirs; and in particular, heirs of God and *joint-heirs with Christ”! (Ro 8:17)

[*joint-heirs (Gk 4789) means: “Co-heir; heir with;
fellow-heir, participant-in-common; heir together!”]

               All must be made “co-heirs” since “Scripture shut up together [Gk 4788, “Concluded and included together; enclosed; embraced in common subjection”] all men under sin so, by the Faith of Jesus Christ (operating within), the Promise of God could be given to them that believe!! But until Christ’s Faith manifests in us, we are kept prisoners under the law, shut up together!” (also Gk 4788) Now before anyone drags out a dead “self-will doctrine” that points out how the Promise of God is only given to “them that believe”, so it must be “up to us” to accept or reject it; we also add Ro 11:32, “God has shut up together [Gk 4788, “Concluded and included together; enclosed; embraced in common subjection”] all men in unbelief, so He could show His great Mercy on them all!”
              As you read the following verses, remember the Force exhibited in Creation by the word, “LET”, then pray that the same Creative Power will be released to accomplish what follows after! The first verse below initiates order so we may fulfill God’s inaugural Commandment in Ex 20:3 which says, “You shall have no other Gods before Me”; and in Mt 22:37 which says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind!”

“LET GOD BE TRUE, and every man a liar!” (Ro 3:4)

[We know that Jesus says, “I AM THE TRUTH” (Jn 14:6); but why is man called a liar? Because he claims ownership of the earth and all that is in it, and possession of the world, and everyone in it; when Ps 24:1 clearly establishes that all these things are the LORD’S!!]

“He that has ears to hear, LET him hear!” (Mt 11:15)

“Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If any man will come after Me, LET him deny himself (that is, disregard, lose sight of, or forget himself and his own interests) and take up his cross and follow Me!” (Mt 16:24)

“LET us follow after the things which make peace and things with which we can edify one another!”

“LET us cast off all our works of darkness; and then LET us put on the *Armor of Light! LET us walk in honesty, as those of the day, and no more (be like people of the night who engage in) drunkenness and rioting, sensuality and wantonness, strife and envy.” (Ro 13:11-12)

[*This Armor of Light is the same Armor of God that God tells every soldier in Christ to put on in Eph 6:11-17 which includes: loins girt with TRUTH; the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS; feet shod with the Gospel of PEACE; the shield of FAITH; the helmet of SALVATION; and the sword of Spirit which is the WORD OF GOD! Can we not see that all of these things represent CHRIST Who calls Himself the “LIGHT OF THE WORLD”! (Jn 8:12) This, then, is a most important “letting” that every son needs to have performed in our lives! And how do we go about this?! We “let” by an overt act of our will! It is a conscious assent to the Divine Work we are being told that Christ is about to do! It is “partnering” with Him b]
