Part Thirty-nine

Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory (D)

“Say to them that are of a fearful heart, ‘Be strong, fear not!
Your God will come with vengeance and divine recompense.
He will come and save you and blind eyes shall be opened!”

                It is significant that Scripture often links the opening of blind eyes with Salvation; for only the spiritually sighted can see our spiritual God! But when the veil of unbelief is lifted from our “eyes” (typifying “understanding” Eph 1:18) of our heart, and we first behold the God of Love, our souls are saved immediately! For indeed, the only thing from which we all need deliverance is OUR OWN UNBELIEF- which is the prison into which God concluded [shut up, ended] every man’s life from the foundation of the world! [Ro 11:32] The mind of flesh is our prison guard, and also the enemy of God! (Ro 8:6) Jesus Christ [God’s own Saving Anointing- by which He created all things; and raised Himself from the dead after Calvary] is our Salvation!
                Men with open spiritual eyes are able to see hidden Truth in the heart of God’s Word to the vexation of men who only possess natural vision! Two hearts can view the same Scripture, yet only one perceives its revealed secret- because God hid His Pearls of great price from all but those who possess spiritual sight! Truth is spiritual and “Natural man cannot receive the things of spirit!”
                (1 Co 2:14) In his haughty self-deception, the natural man thinks because he understands the letter of God’s law, he therefore comprehends its meaning; but, in reality, “The Letter of the Law KILLS; while the Spirit of the Law gives LIFE!” (2 Co 3:6) Knowledge of the letter kills true humility as it “puffs up” an evil spirit of pride! But “Love of the Spirit of Truth edifies (the Spirit of Humility)!” (1 Co 8:1) Knowledge of the letter kills true faith as it fosters a false sense of self-reliance! When a man is convinced that his human understanding and wisdom can disseminate the Truth of Scripture, he becomes less dependent upon God for every God has a divine order by which He calls each man to The beginning of HARVEST is upon us, beloveds! God is drawing homeward the hearts of His “Eleventh hour” sons! We hear Jesus parabolize this in Mt 20:6-15.

”The kingdom of heaven is like a man who owns a large estate who went out early in the morning to hire laborers to work in his vineyard. When he had agreed with the laborers for a wage of one denarius a day, he sent them out into his vineyard. When the landowner went out again about the third hour, he saw others standing idle in the marketplace and said to them, ‘You go to work also in my vineyard and I will pay you whatever is right. So they went. The landowner went out again about the 6th and 9th hour and did the same thing. Finally about the 11th hour he went out and saw others standing idle. He asked them, ‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’ And they said to him, ‘Because no man has hired us to work.’ The landowner said to them, ‘You also go to work in my vineyard; and you shall receive whatever is right. So when evening came, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward, ‘Call in the laborers and give them their wages, going from last to first! When the men hired about the 11th hour came to be paid, they each received one denarius! However when the first-hired men came, they expected to receive still more; but they also were paid one denarius each! When they had received it, they complained to the good man of the house saying, ‘These last laborers have only worked for one hour, and you have made their pay equal to ours when we have borne the full burden and heat of the whole day. But he said to one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing no wrong to you; for didn’t you agree with me to work for one denarius? So take what is yours and go your way. I choose to pay the last workers the same as I give you. Is it not lawful for me to do whatever I want with what belongs to me? Do you begrudge my generosity? Is your eye evil because I am good? So then the last shall be first, and the first shall be last!”

                Jesus reveals here that in each man’s life, the Last Christ-Adam must be set first; and the first natural Adam must be set last! While 1 Co 15:46 does say that, “First comes the natural; then comes the spiritual”, this bespeaks only of the order of their manifestation; not the order of their superiority and authority! For surely CHRIST’S SPIRIT NATURE shall usurp headship away from SATAN’S FLESH NATURE to enjoy eternal preeminence over all things! Whoever would choose any other way, reveals himself to still be thinking as a “child of the devil” (1 Jn 3:8)
                Please note yet another revelation in the above parable, in its eight opening words which say, “The KINGDOM of God is like a MAN!” Hear this, beloveds! God is proclaiming that His entire KINGDOM is comprised of only O-N-E M-A-N... and surely, that ONE MAN is C-H-R-I-S-T!
                Thus as Mt 6:33 tells us, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness”, it really says, “Seek first JESUS CHRIST- lit., the Saving Anointing- OF GOD and His Righteousness!” This narrows the picture to one choice which is to put our flesh life LAST, and our Christ Life FIRST if are ever to enter into God’s Kingdom Manhood of Saving Anointing- which He calls Jesus Christ!
