“The Purpose of Dreams” (25)

             This series has spoken much about the important use of dreams in Scripture and in the lives of God’s people; but we must be careful not look on dreams as a psychic medium that can channel God’s Will to us! “There has already been allocated one, perfect Mediator between God and man and it is the Man, Jesus Christ” (1 Tim 2:5) But as Father declares, “A mediator is not a mediator of only ONE” (Gal 3:20)- rather he negotiators between two or more parties, which is why the Lord Jesus says, “Where two or more are gathered, there I AM (as Mediator) in the midst of them!” (Mt 18:20) But the above Galatians verse goes on to say, “GOD IS ONE”, that is, “ONE SPIRIT” so He needs no mediator within Himself! And this brings a wonderful revelation to God’s sons:

“WHOEVER IS JOINED TO THE LORD IS ONE SPIRIT!” (1 Co 6:17)

               As we are UNITED WITH GOD IN ONE SPIRIT, we have no need of a Mediator except where the forging and fusing of the parts of His Body is concerned! When we first come together we are as “Separate and scattered dry bones” (Please take time to read: Ezek 37:1-13) because the first Breath He breathed upon the earth was so hot, it dried up all the Living Waters till there was only dust left with which to form a natural man! But as the Lord breathes His cool, pleasant Breath upon our earth, it stirs within the Living Waters to revive our land; whereby His Life is renewed in a Spiritual Man! In that imminent hour when Christ has united the bones of His Body, His function as Mediator will operate through us to the world! As a Mediator is also a Reconciler; we read that, “All things are of God and He has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ (“Saving Anointing”) to use us in a ministry of reconciliation! For it was Father God that was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself simply by not imputing their trespasses to them- but by bearing them Himself on a bloody Cross! So now He has committed the Word of Reconciliation (or Mediation) to us!!”
           In this so-called New Age, God has allowed a door to be flung wide open to dark occultism and deceiving spiritism. To believers with Christed discernment, all such activities and affectations are easily exposed as awkward and foolish imitations of His true, expanding Kingdom in the earth. But to all those “Virgins with no oil (of Anointing) in their lamps” (Mt 25:1) such lofty-sounding counterfeits can be very seducing! The Lord counsels us, “There shall arise false Christs and also false prophets who will show such great signs and wonders, if it were possible (however, it is not possible) they should deceive the *very elect!” (Mt 24:24) John warns us, “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but try (test, examine, prove) every spirit to see if they are of God; for many false prophets are gone out into the world. This is how to recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God but is the spirit of antichrist! You have heard he must come and he is even now already in the world! But you are of God, little ones, (and Jesus Christ who dwells in you says, ‘Be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world’ Jn 16:33) therefore, in Him, you have already overcome the forces of antichrist! For greater is He (Christ) that is in you, than he (antichrist) that is in the world!” (1 Jn 4:1)

*Who are these “elect” mentioned here? According to 1 Pet 1:2, they are believers chosen, “According to the foreknowledge of God the Father through Sanctification of the Spirit to the obedience and sprinkling of Jesus Christ’s Blood!!” The Amplified Bible tells us that the elect are “Chosen and foreknown by God the Father and consecrated (sanctified and made holy) by the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ, the Messiah, and be **sprinkled with His Blood.” [** Rev 1:5 says of this, “Jesus Christ...loved and washed us from our sins in His Own Blood; thereby making us kings and priests to God, His Father!!” Then Rev 7:14 adds, “All who have emerged triumphant from(by enduring to the end) the great tribulation, have washed their robes white in the Blood the Lamb! Now they are before the Throne of God serving Him night and day in His Temple; and He that sits on the Throne dwells in them! They shall not hunger and thirst anymore; nor shall the sunlight or heat discomfit them anymore! For the Lamb which is in the midst of them shall feed them and lead them to His Living Fountains of Waters and shall wipe all tears from their eyes!”

               One claim of the paranormal realm is to possess a spiritual connection beyond this world. But let us not scoff at the existence of “Principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places”; for Eph 6:12 says God’s people must wrestle with just such devilish domains in their overcomer training! But, 2 Co 10:3-7 assures us, “Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh! For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but are mighty, through God and pull down strongholds! So we cast down imaginations along with every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God by bringing every thought into captivity to the *obedience of Christ! Then when our *obedience is fulfilled, we will be ready to avenge all such **disobedience in the world! But we shall not look for it in outward appearances; for anyone who trusts God is Christ’s, just as surely as we are Christ’s!”

*Obedience (Gk 5218) is translated, “ATTENTIVE HEARKENING!
Also compliance, submission, to listen attentively, heed and conform,
give audience to; or hear under- as a subordinate!”

**Disobedience (Gk 3876) means, “INATTENTION, also mishearing,
or neglecting to hear!”

             So bring every dream into captivity to the obedience- lit. “Attentive hearkening, audience, compliance, submission, conformity to Christ, our Mediator, for a clear and sure interpretation! Then dream on, beloveds! Bon Nuit!
