“BELIEVING THE UNBELIEVABLE” [G]

“Ah, sweet Mystery of Life, at last I found you!” These words of an old love song bespoke the thoughts of one who has finally found the perfect mate for life in another mortal being; but this is more rightly the testimony of all believers who have found their truly perfect “Life-Mate” in the God of Love! He is the only deserving Recipient of every man’s full ardor and adoration! Ah, but to find this Sweet Mystery of Life is another matter entirely; for with His Light shrouded in Mystery He can never be found by the darkened understanding of the natural-minded man despite the fact that He hides Himself in that very darkness! “He made darkness His secret hiding place; and the pavilion [Heb 5521 “Hut, den, booth, Tabernacle or tent”] surrounding Him is dark *waters and thick clouds of the skies!” (Ps 18:11)

[*These “waters” are “Peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues!!” Re 17:15And these “clouds of the skies” are actually “witnesses” (Gk 3144 martus- “martyrs and records- as archives” that surround us!” Heb 12:1. This ref. is seen as “record” in all the N.T. Paul says, “I call God for a record uponmy soul!” 2 Cor 1:23; and “God is my Record!” Php 1:8 2,]

Job cried out to God in his torment, “Why do you hide Yourself?” (Jb 13:24) Isaiah says, “You, O Savior, God of Israel, You are a God that hides Yourself!” (Is 45:15) Here is Wisdom!

“It is the Glory of God to conceal a thing; but the honor of kings to search it out!! As the heavens are high and earth is deep, so is the heart of kings unsearchable! As you take away the dross from silver to reveal a vessel that is fit for the refiner, so also when you take away the wicked from before the king, his throne is therebyestablished in Righteousness!” (Pr 25:2)

Hear beloveds! God derives Glory by concealing His spiritual things in natural things like dross on gold and silver; carbon upon diamonds; shells around oysters and nuts; rinds around fruit; and heaven inside earth! Even more, this King of Glory derives Honor from searching them out!! Who doesn’t enjoy unwrapping presents?!! Imagine that you went out and bought many treasures for yourself, then came home and wrapped them all as lovely gifts; but then hid them from yourself in a time capsule out in your back yard! Then 20 years later, you opened the time capsule and began opening the wrapped packages one by one! Time would have made you forget what was in them all so you would be happily surprised by each and every treasure you discover! That is something like what God did with each of His created beings! He hid the Incomparable Treasure of His Christ in the darkened understanding of every man’s heart at the moment of his natural birth so that in his foreordained time, that Christ might be revealed in us- one Blessed Fruit of His Spirit at a time!! Each attribute of His Holy Nature is manifested when each layer of our fleshly nature is removed! This is why God calls His Christ “King of kings” for He has promised Himself to make each of us “kings and priests to our God” (Re 1:6) and to make “The Kingdoms of this world to become the Kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ!” (Re 11:15) By His generous Spirit, God provided a way He could share His Magnitude with a Divine Family of Love! But so we could experience each and every wondrous trait of His Perfect Being, He hid His Goodness in the Evil of our carnality! Then as the veil of our humanity is drawn back, His Priceless Divinity is revealed therein! Then we can all sing forth, “Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life, at last I found You!!”
