Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory (P)

"Flying on God's wings"

You brought me out of Egypt, baptized me in the sea.
You wasted the destroyer; I am forever free.
Through the great and terrible wilderness,
fiery serpents and thirsty ground,
You led and fed and guided me; Your mercy I always found.
 
Water from the barren rock, bread from heaven each day,
shoes and clothes that do not wear out, and power, come what may.
Fears within; fears without, and enemies all around;
when sin appeared, grace did much more abound.
 
By all these signs you brought me into Your promised land;
You lifted me up from the miry clay and showed me that I stand
forever on your promises, and by your grace hold tight,
overcoming everything by the right hand of Your might.
 
I love you, Heavenly Father, ever I seek Your face.
Throughout my days, in endless ways,
You flow through time and space.
You gifted me your Mercy Seat, and in Your heart I dwell,
living water sustains me, overcoming death and hell.
 
Forever I will praise your name, as in Your house I live
enjoying Your endless love, which You freely, freely give.
I leave behind the worries, the fears, and all strife
to dwell with You forever more in Resurrection Life.
