Part Sixty-One
Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory (AA)
I have just returned from a week in Europe that God ordained as both a divine mission and a personal adventure. From the onset He made it known He was sending me and my daughter, Erin, as secret scouts into the 3 communities of London, England, Dublin, Ireland, and Paris, France to consecrate these kingdoms of men for the Kingdom of our God and His Christ! (Rev 11:15) We felt just like 2 of the 12 representatives from the tribes of Israel Moses sent to spy out Canaan so long ago; (Num 13:1-2) or the 2 spies Joshua later sent to the same Promised Land (Josh 2:1); or the 12 apostles Jesus sent out in pairs to preach His Gospel.
The Lord preselected three places (unknown to us) for this holy work and we had to wait till His Anointing clearly indicated the unique locations for the sacred dedications. Our sojourn began in London where, for 2 days, we enjoyed sightseeing excursions while still keeping a look-out for the first site of sanctification where the Light of Glory would shine down. On the 3rd day, our tour of the Westminster Abbey was canceled at the last minute due to a special religious ceremony there, so we were rerouted to St. Pauls Cathedral. From the moment we entered that august edifice, the Anointing descended on us both! Father allowed us time away from our tour group to be alone in a quiet alcove where we offered His Prayer of Consecration that this kingdom of the world would become the Kingdom of God and His Christ! The thought also came that two candles should be lighted to seal this dedication to the King of Glory; but as we turned to do this, we saw that on the large, wrought-iron candlestand there were already two- only two- lit candles flickering in the dark, chamber! I remembered the name God bestowed on this ministry, Light out of Darkness!!
Our next trip was to Dublin, Ireland where we boarded a train for a 5-hour tour of the lovely community of Avoca- fondly called Ballykissangel (bally is the Irish word for valley). Here stood a weathered-but-stately church that no other tour members opted to visit, where again the Anointing descended and we could offer Fathers Prayer of Consecration that this kingdom of the world would become the Kingdom of God and His Christ! The Lord led us to light two candles to seal the prayer. We also visited a blessed spot called The Meeting of Waters where two streams that flowed from opposite directions converged into one large stream. Here the famous Irish poet, Thomas Moore, composed most of his beautiful poetry. Here was a clear illustration of how our natural lives rush to meet our spiritual lives, and at that meeting of waters, our mortal lives are swallowed up into One Life with our Eternal Creator!
We returned to London for a day only to embark on a flight to Paris, France- also dubbed the City of Lights. Again we set out on a tour of local landmarks, watching for the Lords chosen place of prayer. Soon He shone His Light of Glory on the legendary Notre Dame Cathedral! It was nearly beyond our comprehension that we were being drawn to this magnificent structure for our Fathers third Prayer of Consecration. As we approached the altar, the Holy Spirit drew my attention to the gilded writing above it which read, The kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdom of God and His Christ!! Here was our confirmation that the Words we had been led to speak over each of these countries had indeed been the Word of the hour for each one! We had faithfully completed our mission for the Glory of God; and our spirits were now at peace! That day had a seemingly inauspicious beginning at 3 AM when a drunken guest had deliberately set off the fire alarm in our London hotel causing us, and many other guests, to go running down flights of stairs to the lobby with hearts pounding wildly- only to find it was a false alarm (thank God)! Then later that evening our taxi to the Paris airport became ensnared in rush hour traffic and should have caused us to miss our return flight to London- except our sovereign Lord made them hold the plane for us, bless Him! And once safely in the air, we looked out the window to see over the entire length of Paris, a sunset beyond belief! A wide, blood red horizon made the tops of trees and structures look like they were afire! From that flame red band there graduated upward all the rainbow colors that faded into an inky sky! It was an incredible sight that drew our thoughts back to the fire drill that initiated our day; and we knew Father was confirming the Work He had sent us to accomplish. The FIRE OF DIVINE LOVE had been carried in our hearts to the dear people of these 3 lands! It is simply a matter of time before we hear what glorious things will result from these Visitations!
As for me, Mine eyes have seen the Glory of the Coming of the Lord, and I am humbly grateful for this entire, glorious experience. It is clear to me that as we, believers, are faithful to Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, all our needs are indeed added to us! (Mt 6:333) For until we are fully caught up in the Spirit [an highly imminent event] our generous and understanding Father still provides for the needs of our flesh and the desires of our soul! His only requirement is that we faithfully seek Him first in all things! Beloveds, this was a sober event that transpired in our travels; and I encourage you to consider at length and pray for the emerging Kingdom of God in these countries and all the earth.
