Part Nine
The first Parable of the Sower (Mt 13:38) typifies words as both Good Seed (of Wheat) and evil seed (of tares that Gk 2215 defines: false grain) sown in the field symbolizing the world (Gk 2889 kosmos, Orderly arrangement. The Dict adds: A harmonious universe; and a complex, orderly, self-inclusive system. This parable correlates to Gen 2:9, Out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. In the midst of the garden was the Tree of Life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The Tree of Life is the Mind of Christ; the Tree of knowledge of good and evil is the carnal mind of natural man of whom it is said, A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways! (Jas 1:8) The fusion of good with evil has been a perpetual vexation for man since the first Adam chose between two trees! Every choice given to man holds two options: good and evil. His conscience is designed to select rightly but as a double-minded man he is plagued with a nagging fear that he will make the wrong choice! Decision-making is a heavy yoke intended for God, Alone, and when borne by the man of sin, that yoke is burdensome indeed! Ah, but not so for the spirit-minded man! Jesus says His yoke is light and easy to bear (Mt 11:29) because it sees but one choice- the Will of God! The Godly man sees only one course to take- The Way of God as revealed through the Saving Anointing of God- called Jesus Christ!
In the second Parable (Lk 8:15) the Sower sows His Good Seed only in the good ground of An honest, GOOD HEART that hears the Word of the Lord, KEEPS IT, then brings forth its Precious Fruit WITH PATIENCE! Patience is a hard attribute to birth (as natural men will attest)! The NT, we find this word has two different roots. In Gk 3115 patience is interchangeable with Long-suffering (as with the Fruit of the Spirit in Gal 5:22); while Gk 5281 defines it as: Cheerful, hopeful endurance! This root is used in Jas 5:11 which refers to the Patience of Job; and Rev 1:9 which speaks of the Patience of Jesus Christ! What stellar forerunners to emulate! No wonder all men are told, You need this Patience! (Heb 10:36)
If Godly Wisdom is not immediately forthcoming in what seems a desperate situation, our Waiting upon the Lord makes us suffer long; but Isa 40:31 says that such waiting makes us Renew our strength so we can mount up with wings as eagles; and run and not be weary, also walk and not faint! In such waiting times let us remember, All things work together for GOOD and since There is none good but GOD (Mt 19:17) then All things work together for GOD! But Father says that all things will also benefit, and result in the utter delight, of all who love Him and are called by Him to become His sons! But however long we may be made to suffer, beloved, let us ever remember that One has suffered longer than anyone, which is the WORD OF GOD! And that Anointed Word is L O V E !
For God so LOVED the WORLD [ which is His field or womb wherein HIS SEED is sown] that He gave His only begotten Son (as a Supreme Sacrifice) so that whosoever believes (and keeps on believing in His Faithfulness) shall not perish but shall be assured of Eternal Life [which is the Knowledge of the Lord and His Son, Jesus Christ, Whom He has sent Jn 17:3]! For God did not send His Son [His Precious Seed] into the world to condemn it; but that the world, through Him, might be saved! (Jn 3:16-17)
It takes a SOUND HEART to carry to full term, and not abort, the Precious Seed of Promise sown in our field (world) by our Husbandman, Christ. Only a heart made whole can produce the wholesome Fruit of our Fathers Spirit for all to see and desire! Only a yielded heart knows that all elements of heat and cold, wind and rain, yes even fire, famine and flood sent to our field (world) ultimately prove to be blessings, not curses, on our ground! Gods Word of Promise pledges this! And as we bear allegiance to His Word of Promise we bear allegiance to God, Himself, for they are one and the same! God IS (that is, embodies and is characterized by) His Word of Promise!!
God has endured a long wait for His Seed of Promise to be birthed in our lives as seen in Jas 5:7-8.
BE PATIENT, THEREFORE, BRETHREN, UNTIL THE COMING OF THE LORD! FOR BEHOLD, THE HUSBANDMAN IS WAITING FOR THE PRECIOUS FRUIT TO COME FORTH FROM HIS EARTH (MAN); AND HE HAS LONG PATIENCE FOR IT AS HE AWAITS THE EARLY AND LATTER RAINS! SO WE, TOO, MUST BE PATIENT, BRETHREN, AND WHILE WE ARE OCCUPIED WITH WAITING, LET US STRENGTHEN OUR HEARTS, FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD IS AT HAND!! Indeed, we cry, Maranatha!! (Gk 3134 Our Lord has come!)
Amen
