[Part Sixteen]

                  The Faith of God is enthroned on a solid, unshakable bedrock of Truth! But what is Truth? God is Truth! And“God is a Spirit” (Jn 4:24) so Truth is spiritual! This is an important reality for Jesus Christ said, “You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free!” He did not say, “The fortunate few may possibly know the Truth”; but “You (all) shall know the Truth! (Jn 8:32) This is a strong, prophetic promise, a divine oracle, a positive declaration which we now overlay with these Words of Jesus: “If the SON shall make you free, you shall be free indeed!” (Jn 8:36) First He said, “The TRUTH shall make you free”; now He says, “The SON shall make you free!” Just one conclusion can be drawn: “THE SON....IS....TRUTH!” (Pause and consider this!) Furthermore Jesus says, “The (Mind and Word of) SPIRIT gives Life; but the (mind and word of) flesh profits nothing! But all the Words I SPEAK TO YOU are SPIRIT and LIFE!” (Jn 6:63) Hear this well! When it is truly Jesus Christ speaking to us, His Words give us the Life of His Spirit !
                   Carnal minds only produce flesh words that Jesus said “profit nothing” for our spirit-life! And human understanding trained in basic education can read Scripture; and even look up words in concordances, lexicons and dictionaries to glean further meaning. But carnal minds cannot infuse Spiritual Life in God’s Word! They can only purvey interesting facts that stimulate the intellect; and pleasant platitudes that stir up soulish emotions; but men go away with no more spiritual life than before. Empty words are empty packages. No matter how well-wrapped a gift may be, you’d be disappointed if you found the box was empty! This is the case with multitudes that attend varied religious services. They hear words that appear: “Good for food, pleasant to the eyes, and to be desired to make one wise”; but that is the deception that led the first Adam down the garden path! (Gen 3:6) And we all know what happened afterward! The Word of God is Spirit and Life; but for the sake of natural men, that Life-giving Spirit was revealed in one human vessel, Jesus Christ (lit. “Anointing that saves”). No true believer denies Jesus IS the Word of God (See: Jn 1:14; Eph 6:17; Re 19:13); and accepting that fact, in Christ’s statement, “I AM...the Truth and the Life!” (Jn 14:6) we see Him claiming to BE the “Word of Truth - by which (all men) are sanctified.” (Jn 17:17) As Truth is spiritual, Jesus Christ IS the “Spirit of Truth”! This revelation unlocks other passages.

“I will ask the Father to give you another Comforter (besides Me as a “Word made flesh”) to stay with you forever! It will be the Spirit of Truth (Himself) which the world cannot receive or know, for it can’t see Him! You know the One who lives with you but then He will dwell IN you! I do not leave you comfortless, but I shall come to you!” (Jn 14:16-18) “I tell you truly, it is expedient for you that I go away, for if I don’t go, the Comforter can not come to you; but if I go I will send Him to you. When He comes, He will convict the world of sin, Righteousness and Judgment. Of sin, for they do not believe in Me; and of Righteousness, as I go to My Father(hood)...of Judgment, for the Prince of the world is judged. I have much more to tell you but you can’t bear it now. As the Spirit of Truth is come, He will lead you into all Truth for He will not speak of Himself, but of what He hears (from the Father) who will show you things to come!” (Jn 16:7-13)

“When the Comforter is come- that Spirit of Truth which issues from the Father Whom I will send to you from My Father(estate), and He shall testify of Me!” (Jn 15:26)

“The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name, shall teach you of all things; and cause you to remember all that I have said to you!” (Jn 14:26)

All with “Eyes to see and ears to hear”, will understand what God is revealed here. For Jesus Christ is not only the Word of Truth and the Spirit of Truth as we have shown, but He is also all three Persons of Father, Son and Holy Spirit! In His flesh state, He is the Son; but in His spiritual-state, He is the Father and Holy Spirit! If this is too much for you to grasp at this time, let it pass-over your house for now; and ask God to open your eyes of understanding at a later date.
