[Part Thirty-eight]

Continuing our thoughts on the “Elect of God ”, the prophet, Isaiah, says ,

“For the sake of My servant, Jacob and My Elect, Israel, I have called you by your name, then surnamed you with My Name even though you have never known me! For I am the Lord; there is none beside Me!” (Is 42:1)

“Behold My servant (Jacob) whom I uphold; and My Elect (Israel) in Whom My soul delights; on Whom I have put My Spirit, so that He shall bring My Righteous Judgment to the nations.” (Is 45:4 )

               God says that He cares for and tends to the needs of His servant, Jacob, by upholding him. Heb 8551 defines “uphold”: “To maintain, obtain (from), retain, sustain, help, keep fast, and follow closely.” Whether or not we know the Lord, He faithfully provides for us as the sparrow or lily of the field. But He says that His Soul delights in His Elect, Israel, and His Spirit is upon Him to bring forth His Righteous Judgments to the nations. This passage is repeated in the NT but with these added thoughts, “He will not strive or cry out, and no man will hear His Voice in the streets. Furthermore, He will not break a bruised reed nor quench a smoking flax until He sends forth His Judgment unto Victory! Then the nations will trust in His Name!” Mt 12:16-21) This describes the Christ Son most assuredly for His Godly Judgments result in Victory! This victory is manifested as nations trust in His Name! What does He mean to “trust in His NAME”? The word, name, is synonymous with “nature and character” so He is saying we must trust His Nature and Character as manifested in His many Names like: Jehovah (Self-existent One), Emmanuel (God with us), Jesus (Savior) and Messiah (Anointed)! God’s purpose in introducing His Judgments to the world is to teach every man to trust His Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent Being! Even now there is a body of sons who have been enduring His Holy Judgments for various durations, that will soon be revealed to teach the nations how to trust in His Name as evidenced by their purged lives! These “Elect of God” will be given to release the Power of Christ in never-before-seen ways!
                God says, “There shall be great tribulation (lit. “Great pressure”- to birth a Manchild) as never before been seen from the beginning of the world to now, nor shall ever be seen again! And except those days be shortened, no flesh would be saved; so for the Elect’s Sake, those days shall be shortened... then immediately after the tribulation of those days; the sun will be darkened, the moon shall withhold her light; the stars shall fall from heaven; the powers of the heavens will be shaken...the sign of the Son of Man shall appear in heaven; and all the tribes of the earth shall grieve as they see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven in Power and great Glory! Then God will release His angels with a great sound of trumpets to gather together His Elect from the four winds,and from one end of heaven to the other!” (Mt 24:22, 29-31) And of these, God declares, “I will deliver a Seed out from Jacob (supplanter); then bring forth My Elect from Judah (praise) to inherit My mountains (of Righteousness)...they shall nor more build for others to inhabit; nor plant for others to eat; for the days of my people are as the days of a tree; and My Elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands! Their labor will not be in vain (as was the old Adamic nature), nor will their children be born to trouble; for they and their offspring are the Seed of the Blessed of the Lord!” (Is 65:9,22-23) “God will quickly avenge and justify His elect who cry out to Him day and night!” (Lu 18:7) And “Who would dare bring charges against those whom God has justified?” (Ro 8:33) “Even now, we see a remnant of His Election of Grace” (Ro 11:5) “So you holy and beloved Elect of God, put on hearts of mercy, kindness, humility of mind, meekness, longsuffering, forebearing one another, forgiving all grievances toward one another as Christ forgive you (on the Cross); and above all, be clothed in HIS Love which binds all men in His perfectness!!” (Col 3:1214)
