[Part Thirty-six]
Beware of coined terminology that has crept into today’s theology masquerading as Truth. In my opinion every believer should own and use well Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance featuring Hebrew and Greek dictionaries. Some may say, “I can’t understand Hebrew or Greek”; but that is unnecessary with this book’s easy-to-understand directions and explanations. Others may think, “Books like these are just for pastors and teachers”, but that is not true. Unlike encyclopedias that gather dust on the shelf, this is a vital, hands-on resource for sincere seekers of Truth in these dark, deceptive times! Once securing this book, look up familiar catch-words and phrases long held by religious tradition and you may find some key doctrines built on the sand of human interpretation rather than the Rock of Salvation! God may use the present vernacular to speak words (not found in Scripture) to clarify a point of Truth or give personal direction; but any true ORACLE OF GOD on which Christ establishes His Church, surely has a strong Scriptural foundation! And that “One Foundation which is already laid is Jesus Christ! (1 Co 3:10) Any other basis for doctrine is but shifting sand that will not support any human house of prayer! I’ve seen beloved ones whose religious beliefs did not prove steadfast or stalwart in times of crisis, and the heartbreaking despair of their frenzied lack of faith in their Omnipotent God! But pious-sounding theories cannot lift a hurting heart high enough to hear Father’s comforting words of Life and Love! Consider the new believer with just a Bible, the Holy Spirit as his Teacher- and no manmade religion to indoctrinate him in their pet creeds- how would he learn terms like: “Rapture, Trinity and Beatitudes” when THEY DO NOT APPEAR ANYWHERE IN SCRIPTURE!!
The Bible- as interpreted by the Anointing of God- is the bedrock of sound belief for all men of faith. God’s Revealed Word must be our Sole Authority in every area of life! Seeking Truth from the Scriptures is not meant to be just a pleasant pastime, nor the exclusive domain of teachers and pastors! Truth is the LIFEBLOOD and SWORD OF THE SPIRIT (Eph 6:17) for every child of God, but especially for His soon-to-be manifested Sons! Every believer is not called to stand before congregations and preach, but “His tongue should be the pen of a Ready Writer”!! (Ps 45:1) Jesus warns, “There shall arise false Christs and false prophets that show great signs and wonders that, if it were possible, would deceive the very elect!” (Mt 12:24) What is He saying? We’ve heard about “false prophets” but what are “false Christs”? A few unbalanced people claim, “I am Christ”, but they wouldn’t come close to deceiving the very elect of God! Jesus well knew, when making this statement, that the meaning of “Christ” (Gk 554) is: “To smear or rub with oil; to consecrate to a (holy) office; to handle, touch, furnish what is needed, act toward one in a given manner, entreat, use, or GIVE AN ORACLE!”
Anyone who claims to be the Anointed of God but preaches a word not fully supported in Scripture, treads on dangerous ground. “Giving an Oracle” is a sober responsibility, and not to be taken lightly. The word, oracle, (Gk 3051) means: “AN UTTERANCE OF GOD”! This is not a printed letter of Bible text, but is the SPOKEN WORD OF THE LIVING GOD!! Many may be called to “sermonize”, but few are chosen to be “Oracles of God”! And the discernment of each sheep must judge for himself the Voice of His Shepherd. Sermonizers that declare their man-made doctrines to be Anointed “Oracles” are “false Christs”! God says He shall permit them to work “great signs and wonders”; and if you are impressed by outward demonstrations of power, you may well be one who shall be deceived by these “false Christs”. But not so “The Elect of God”; for their eyes are trained exclusively on the Spirit of the Lord for His next inward demonstration of the True Christ! God says (Is 42:1)
