hen does each day begin and end? When Gen
1:5 declares: "God called the Light, Day; and the Darkness
He called Night"; it goes on to say, "The
evening (first) and the day (second
and last) were (together) the first Day!" And why
is this profound? We casually say about a day,, "In the
morning, I will do such and such; and later in the evening,
I will do thus and so." We never give thought to the miracle
that what we called DAY actually consisted of a "night
and day"! Nor do we consider that when
we announce, "Tonight I will go here or there",
we are really saying, "In the NIGHT OF THIS
DAY, I will go here or there." We give no
heed to the fact that only half of our day receives LIGHT; while
the other half of our day is stolen by DARKNESS! Every day we are
cheated out of 12 hours of Light and think nothing of it.
Have you ever wondered why"evening" God ordained
to start each day actually begins at sundown; and"morning"
(associated with sunrise) begins at midnight
(lit; middle of the NIGHT)?! Is this significant?
Immeasurably so! It means that the 12 hours we call DAY, and the
12 hours we call NIGHT, are neither totally dark or totally light;
but both are HALF-DARK and HALF-LIGHT! It is as though the earth
was TIPPED SIDEWAYS; and if it were straightened UPRIGHT, the night
would be ALL DARKNESS; and the day would be ALL LIGHT!! Doesn’t
that sound more as it should be? Could this disproportion be due
to the fact that our earth sits on a tilted axis?
In the summer of 1999, Mary Pinckney, a sister in my fellowship,
received a vision where "She was in outer space looking parallel
toward the earth which was resting in its present position, tilted
on its axis. She was aware of the powerful Presence of God
the Father as suddenly His Will caused the whole earth to
BOLT UPRIGHT ON ITS AXIS! This cataclysm caused
great shakings within the earth and all its inhabitants! Where once,
on a tilted earth, man’s carnal world appeared to be upright;
now with the earth aright, his tilted world was exposed! As earth
shifted its position, people were screaming, sliding across rooms,
and all the work of men’s hands were now tilted!"
Is this vision purely symbolically of a move in the spirit? Maybe.
Can we imagine such as cataclysmic occurrence actually happening?
Barely. But is it within the realm of possibility? Indeed.
The first Adam never imagined a man being able to talk to another
man thousands of miles away, or a man flying like a bird, or a man
walking on the moon. or a man being raised from the dead. But if
we read the following verses, we might not believe that the above
vision was so impossible!

brethren before the rulers of the city, crying, ‘These
men and certain others (Paul and Silas) that came to their house,
have TURNED THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN by teaching contrary
to the decrees of Caesar and proclaiming that there
is another King by the Name of JESUS!" |
Mt
6: 22-23 says, "The Light of the Body
is the EYE (understanding); so let your eye be single (Greek
573. "Sincere, without hypocrisy, not self-seeking");
then your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye (understanding)
is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness (ignorance, misery,
sorrow, death). If the light in you BE darkness,
how great is that darkness."
The "Light of the World" is Christ;
and the name, "Christ", means "Anointing". So this
passage, in spiritual language, is saying: "Christ, the
Light of Anointing, is true Understanding!" Further
it is saying, "If your understanding be of Christ;
then your whole body will be full of Light (Anointing of
Christ)!" Then it warns," If your understanding
is EVIL (worldly, sinful), then your whole body is full of darkness;
for if the Light (Anointing of Christ) in you BE DARKNESS
(Imagine that! The Light of Christ can BE Darkness-)
then how great is that darkness!"
Consider: if God could accomplish the myriad glories of the natural
man (who hates Him) in the DARKNESS OF THE DAY ;
then surely "Eye has not seen, and ear has not heard,
neither has it entered the imagination of man, the glories that
God has prepared for the spiritual man that loves Him"
(1
Cor 2:9) that remain to be accomplished in the LIGHT
OF DAY! Amen.
