ddressing
the word"POWER"(Gk 2904 kratos) it means: "GREATNESS,
VIGOR, and DOMINION"! kratos is used four
times as "DOMINION" (the first is seen in part 6).
1
Pet 5:10-11- "May the God of all Grace Who has called us
to His Eternalglory by Christ Jesus- after you have suffered
a while- make you perfect byestablishing, strengthening,
settling you. To Him be glory and DOMINION(kratos)
forever and ever. Amen.
Jude
24-25- "Now to Him Who is able (strong) (dunamis)
to keep you from falling; and to present you faultless before
the presence of His glory withexceeding joy, to the only wise
God, our Savior, be glory, and majesty, and power, and DOMINION
(kratos) both now and ever. Amen."
Rev
1:5-6 "Jesus Christ, the First-Begotten of the dead,
and the Prince of the Kings of the earth; to Him Who
has loved us and washed us from our sins in His Own Blood;
and made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him
be glory and DOMINION (kratos) forever and ever.
Amen"
After
God made Adam, the first commission He gave to him was to "Have
DOMINION (kratos) over all the earth" (Gen
1:26-28) including all its inhabitants! But as this dictate
was issued by a God of spirit, and since"The
natural man cannot receive the things of spirit"
(1
Cor 2:14), man couldnt truly fulfill the above mandate
before being "Drawn away of his own lusts and enticed" in
the garden of Eden. Then "After his lust conceived, it brought
forth sin; and sin, when it was finished, brought forth death."
(Jas
1:14) Only after the first natural Adam was later swallowed
up in the second and last spiritual Christ-Adam that this
DOMINION could be exercised in the earth. That
happened when the Kingdom of God began to redeem
all creation for the glory of God. This same "DOMINION"
shall be given to the Sons of God, through their union with
Jesus Christ.
Now
we come to the third promise of this millennial prophecy- the MIGHT
of the Lord! "Might" (Gk 2479 ischus) means:
"FORCEFULNESS; FORCE, ABILITY, MIGHT, POWER, and STRENGTH"!
It is used in Rev
7:11-12 saying, "All the angels stood round the Throne...then
they fell down on their faces before the Throne worshipping the
true God saying, Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving,
honor, power and MIGHT (ischus) be to our God forever
and ever. Amen!" This word stems from (2192) meaning "To
HOLD". The actual Greek.word is "echo";
which the Dict defines: "To hold as a sound by the reflection
of sound waves."] And this Gk root,"echo", is used as
"hold" in the following passages.
2
Tim 1:13- "Hold fast (echo) the form of
sound words which you have heard me speak in the faith and love
of Christ Jesus."
1
Tim 1:19- "Fight the good fight of faith holding
(echo) onto your faith and a good conscience."
Rev
6:9- "When (the Lamb, Jesus Christ) had opened the fifth
seal, I saw under the altar(the Altar is Christ Jesus, Himself)
the souls of them that were slain for the Word of God and for
the testimony which they HELD (echo)!"
It has not been fully revealed what lies ahead in coming days,
but Father generously gives us His Lamp unto our feet to see our
way through these perilous times. And whatever shall befall the
Sons of God; and whatever glorious exploits they do in the Name
of the Most High. they shall: "BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND
IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT!" Let us all say "Amen"!
