HEAR YE, HEAR YE,
"The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the Lord;
make His paths straight!"
Mt
3:3
[9 of 9]
e
continue now with the exposition of our text word, "prepare"
[as begun in Part 3 of this series], including the definitions:
(Gk 2090) "TO PROVIDE, MAKE READY"; (2092)
"FIT, ADJUSTED, READY, AT HAND"; 2680 "CONSTRUCT,
CREATE, BUILD, AND ORDAIN- referring to INTERNAL FITNESS!"
We are finishing the passages using the word, "Prepare".
(Rev
12:6) "The woman (church) fled into the wilderness
where a place wasPREPARED for her by God,
where she would be fed for 1,260 days/"(Rev
21:2)"I saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem (lit. "Foundation
of Peace")coming down from God out of heaven; prepared
as a Bride adorned for herHusband!" Hallelujah!!
Why
do people automatically assume a quiet air and almost reverent tone
of voice as they enter a library, church, hospital, or a royal palace?
It is because they know something formidable and solemn is taking
place. Whether it is the place where people read words (secular
or sacred); or where people suffer and die; or where people conduct
royal enterprises; the hushed sense of respect ever dominates. Remember
that Gods sons stand in the Presence of the Most High God-
in the Royal Courts of Divine Perpetuity- whenever we are "IN
THE SPIRIT"; so it is unthinkable that we would treat Holy
Things with a casual, carnal, or contemptuous attitude. Knowing
we are about to enter His Royal Courts, we should be prepared with
"spices and oils" of Praise and Worship. Every
son of God should already be in the Anointing
when they go to fellowships, so as not to just "receive
blessings" like immature babes, but BRING BLESSINGS
TO OUR HEAVENLY KING! We are to "Enter His Gates with
Thanksgiving in our hearts; and enter His Courts with Praise!"
(Ps
100:4)
We would never think of deliberately entering someones home
wearing muddy shoes that we know will track up their beautiful carpets;
yet do we enter the Courts of the Most High God with the DUST
OF THE CURSED GROUND of this world on our feet?! We are supposed
to be "Standing on HOLY GROUND" when we come to
the "B urning Bush" of the "Consuming Fire
of our God!" Where is the reverence? Where is the Holy
Fear? Are Gods own sons distracted from the obligation and
privilege to pay homage and obeisance to the Savior of the
World Who "Loved us enough to wash our sins in His
Own Blood!" Let us forsake all distractions- temporal and
meaningless- to PREPARE OURSELVES for a holy
communion with our King! Let us quickly PREPARE
OUR LAMPS TO ENTER THE CHAMBER OF OUR BRIDEGROOM; then
KEEP THEM FULL OF OIL! Now remembering "CHRIST
IS THE WAY" (Jn
14:6), hear Him say to each of us one more time,
"PREPARE THE WAY"
Amen and Amen!!
