hurch congregations have long been terrorized by menacing myths of a monster called antichrist! Men’s religions continually weave enormous, erroneous doctrines from just such slender threads of Truth! Out of 845,000 words in the Bible, the name antichrist appears only FIVE times! Doesn’t it seem strange that such a critical figure in human history would have such a small persona in Scripture. Shouldn’t the Author of these Sacred Writings have devoted more language to this central character so mankind could be more clearly informed and thus better warned and forearmed? Religions teach us to watch for ONE MAN who, thus far, has been prophesied as everyone from Adolph Hitler to Henry Kissinger; but let us see what the 5 meager references have to say. The first three appear in the same passage in 1 Jn 2:18-23,

"Little children, this is the final hour; and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now there are M A N Y ANTICHRISTS!! [Pause and prayerfully think of this- there is MORE THAN ONE!] By their appearance we can know this is the final hour. These antichrists emerged FROM *US (Hello!) but they were not OF US; for if they had been OF US, they would have continued with us; but they went out FROM US to manifest that they were NOT OF US! For you have an Anointing from the Holy One; and through Him, you know all Truth. I have written this to you not because you do not know the Truth, but because you do know Truth; and no lie is of the Truth! Who is the liar that denies Jesus is the Christ!

It is the antichrist who also denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son has no Father; but he that acknowledges the Son has the same Father as He."

[*This is a shocking revelation to most at first. The subtle deceptions of the serpent have kept the natural man focused on a bogey man somewhere "out there" when all the time he was hiding RIGHT INSIDE HIM! Some will point (as I once did) to 2 Thess 2:3-4 for the identity of antichrist, and so it is, but look again at what it really says!! "Let no man deceive you in any way, for the Day (of CHRIST) willnot come except there first comes a great falling away (also called the apostasy- which has already happened in the churches) and that MAN OF SIN is revealed!He is the SON OF PERDITION who opposes, and exalts himself above, all that is called God or is worshipped as God; declaring himself to be God; and sittingon the seat of God in the TEMPLE of God." "Temple" is the key word! For in1 Cor 3:16,17 and 2 Cor 6:16 God exhorts us: "Don’t you know that Y O U are the TEMPLE of God?! And that the Spirit of God dwells in you?! So if any mandefiles the TEMPLE of God, God shall destroy him, for the TEMPLE of God isholy; and YOU ARE THAT TEMPLE!"

Now the only "man" who defiles that temple is the "MAN OF SIN", which is the CARNAL, ADAMIC NATURE of all! It is he whom the Lord promised to destroy! And He said He would destroy that "lord of darkness" through the "Brightness of His Coming" ( 2 Thess 2:8 ) And"The Brightness is the Light" ( Hab 3:4 ) and Christ is that "Light of the world!" ( Jn 9:5 ) "In Him was Life; and the Life was the Light of men that shined in darkness (i.e. our darkened understanding); but the darkness did not and could not comprehend it....He was the True Light that LIGHTS EVERY MAN that comes into the world". ( Jn 1:4-5, 9 )

"For God Who commanded the Light to shine out of darkness has shined in ourhearts to give the LIGHT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF GOD in the face of Jesus Christ; but we have this treasure in earthen vessels (like theLamp hidden inside Gideon’s pitcher in ( Jg 7:16-22) so that the excellence of thePower being manifested is proven to be of God and NOT OF US!" ( 2 Cor 4:6-7 ) ]
