“BELIEVING THE UNBELIEVABLE” [B]

               Scripture speaks of Mysteries of the realm of Infinity and, in particular, the Infinite Deity that rules over ALL THINGS both in heaven and in earth! The first Dict. definition of “mystery” is “A divine truth that man can only know by revelation; and even then, without full understanding.” A second root word for “mystery” is translated differently as: “service, occupation, or ministry”; and it is defined, “One of class of medieval religious dramas based on Scriptural incidents that usually centered on the life, death and Resurrection of Christ.” All in all we behold that the greatest Mysteries of Life surround the impenetrable magnificence of the Lord of hosts, “Whose Greatness, and Judgments and Riches are unsearchable; and whose Ways are past finding out!” (Ps 145:3; Ro 11:33; Eph 3:8) Man can never learn about the Creator of the universe by scientific experiment, historic research, or archeological digs. Furthermore He cannot learn of the Spirit of the Most High by endless Scripture searching! Jesus Christ faulted the self-righteous religious men of His day for their legalistic approach to the “Letter of the Law” in the Sacred Scrolls saying, “You study and search the Scriptures thinking that you will find Eternal Life for yourselves in them; but, in Truth, the Scriptures only testify of Me; and you refuse to come to Me for Eternal Life!!” (Jn 5:39-40)
              All my natural life, even before Jesus Christ revealed Himself to me as my Savior and Lord, I was an amateur sleuth fascinated by any mystery- but especially, murder mysteries). Something in me was always drawn to “discovering the unknown” or ‘solving whodunits”. Little did I know I was being primed for a confrontation with the great, enthralling adventure of divine Mysteries! The very word “mystery” stirs my heart and initiates a challenge to my nature! As a child hates to be left out of secrets, so mysteries are like locked doors that confound and rouse my inborn curiosity!!
              How frustrating, but intriguing and tantalizing to learn that the Mysteries of the Ages are utterly and eternally unfathomable by natural (or fleshly) minds; and only discernible by spiritual minds! This means we must “Humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord” (Ja 4:10) as well as fully disclaim our “Earthly, sensual, devilish wisdom from below” (Ja 3:15) and see our “Lack of Godly Wisdom” and then “Ask in faith” to be granted the“Pure, peaceable, gentle, merciful and fruitful Wisdom from above- which is without partiality or hypocrisy!” (Ja 3:17)
              The first Adam revealed his serpentine pride of life as he was tempted and led away from the Wisdom of God by his evil desire for human wisdom! His lust for self-glory and self-adulation betrayed and slew him; and yet, that is what the flesh does! We must keep reminding ourselves that “The natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit”; and the Wisdom of God is spiritual!! Do not condemn natural man- even your own- for his pursuit of natural endeavors when he can do nothing else! All natural men were sentenced, condemned and slain while still in the loins of Adam! Not one of his dead seed can rescind God’s decree; none can secure clemency for himself; none can pay any sort of ransom; and none can redeem or resurrect his own life from the grave! So God, Himself, donned the garment of flesh, that in the appointed hour, He could raise Himself- and His sanctified, glorified body- to glory, so that all things might be redeemed and redound to His praise!
              These Truths have been hid deep in the hearts of men as Mysteries for many generations, so in these last days they might be revealed to a select body of overcomers who are predestined to go into all the earth as Sons of God to reveal these Mysteries to all mankind! If you wish to learn such Secrets of the Lord know that “ONLY BY REVELATION CAN THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST BE MADE KNOWN”! (Eph 3:3-12) One such “Mystery” is that “God created ALL THINGS by Jesus Christ!” (v.9) The word “ALL” here connotes universality! Jn 1:3 says, “ALL THINGS were made by Him and nothing that was ever made was made without Him!” Let us learn more of God’s glorious Mysteries!!
