A VISION
[1970]
"I
saw the fellowship of Kingdom saints standing around a Maypole,
each holding a red streamer attached to the top
where a gold crown was enthroned. The Voice from
the Crown spoke saying, "Walk!" So we joyfully began
tosidestep around the pole causing our streamers
to wind around the pole as we drew closer and closer;
till we were pressed tightly together arm to arm. We were
as happy as little children. Then the Voice said "Walk the other
way!" We started to walk in obedience but as we
did, we discovered that the flesh of our upper
arms had knitted together. Because that spoken "Word" had the
power of self-fulfillment, we were forced to move
as directed, but it began to pull and then tear
the flesh as we were being separated. We were crying and
wailing in terrible pain. Finally we were detached
and continued walking till we were stretched as
far apart as was possible. We were each so much in our own
pain, we were unable to succor the pain and suffering of one
another.
Then a hand appeared holding a golden pail; and
another hand appeared that began dipping a golden
brush into the clear GOLDEN OIL contained in the
pail, and began to generously brush the Oil on our open wounds
and they were healed. When the Hands completed
the circle, they disappeared; thenthe Voice spoke
a third and final time to "Walk"; but this time we were not
as eager to obey. We plodded warily toward one
another as the Word forcedus to move forward in
obedience, until once again we were so pressed tightly together
that there was no space between us. But this time, to our utter
joy, OUR ARMS DID NOT STICK TOGETHER BECAUSE
OF THE OIL!!
Interpretation of vision
When
I awoke, I knew that the Maypole was the Cross of Christ,, and the
Crown atop it was Father God. The red streamers were the Blood of
Christ uniting the Body of Christ to Him. The "Hands"
were the Holy Spirit; and the "Golden Oil" was the healing
Anointing of God. I knew thereafter, no matter how many times we
were separated to minister apart as Christ in the world; our human
separations would never again be the painful tearing they once were;
nor how often we were "called together again" for Body fellowship;
we would no more be "joined after the flesh"; but in the Spirit
of the Lord. There would be no feeling of "security in numbers"
when pulled in together; and whether together or apart, we would
always be able to minister the same Christ to one another. The spiritual
bond that unites Fathers true sons does not originate with
"human encounter", nor is it sustained by "fleshly bond"; neither
are its roots entrenched in soulish religious systems; rather we
are united solely through the Blood of Jesus and His unadulterated
Love. The fulfillment of this 20 year old vision is now coming to
pass as the fellowship of Kingdom brethren has learned that all
things are "By Him, through Him, from Him,
and to Him" forevermore. Amen and Amen.
